When you have to travel a great distance or tall height to reach a food and dairy tank or vessel, safety is often the number one concern. Monitoring raw milk temperatures, replacing a part or just an ingredient quality check can be done easily and safely with the right equipment.
Paul Mueller Company manufactures stainless steel, carbon steel galvanized, or painted ladders, catwalks, stairs, safety railings, and platform assemblies as part of the Food and Dairy processing facility solution.
We offer in stock products or custom-designed pieces that are versatile for indoor or outdoor application. They can be welded-in-place or removable, ensuring you have the best access to your commercial food and dairy production equipment based on your layout. Every piece is built to last – engineered to product and process specific parameters and the latest OSHA standards. This gives you peace of mind that every ladder, catwalk and platform installation will be a smooth transition into your existing system and that your employees can safely move around.
In 2018, OSHA updated their ladder standards. Prior to November 2018, OSHA required standard cages on ladders where climbs are more than 20 feet high. Since then, requirements have been updated. Ladders are no longer required to have fall protection until the climbing height reaches 24 feet. Ladders meeting this height will be required to have fall protection in the form of a personal fall arrest system or ladder safety system, other than a cage. Paul Mueller Company has a glide-lock system that meets these new requirements. If you have a cage system that was installed prior to the 2018 change, it will be grandfathered in. We have the expertise to retrofit your old ladder systems to meet the new requirements. Read more about them here.
