The European Union has set a clear course with stricter environmental legislation: refrigerants with a high global warming potential (GWP) are being phased out gradually. The recent revision of the F-gas Regulation (EU 2024/573) imposes increasingly stringent requirements on the use of traditional refrigerants. What is R-290?
